Free train and retrain-last chance - 2008-02-23

We are running another RAPS course this Saturday. This was decided very recently so apologies for the short notice. This course is also welcome to those who have now not jumped for more than 3 months and are now out of date - for the majority of you this will be free.We have been offered a ONE OFF DEAL for an AFF course also running this Saturday. Wolley Jumpers Boogie - 2008-02-02

The first Hib University boogie will be happening in February. From the 1st to the 3rd the whole dropzone will be geared to student jumpers, with lots of plans for bad weather (including sumo costumes!). This will be a great chance to attend CH briefings, progression days and generally hang out to meet fellow skydiving addicts. Really guys this is going to be a weekend to remember!

General meeting-Changing club name - 2007-11-28

At 7.00 tonight (the 28th) in Derwent bar the skydiving club will be meeting to officially change the club name, in addition this it is your only chance to order club merchandise (bring cash!). Although the social will follow, the committee is asking that all members attend even if you are not going on the social as we need to ensure sufficient attendance to carry the vote. You will also be able to pay deposit for the Christmas meal. Look forward to seeing you all there!

BCPA Freshers - 2007-11-10

The biggest freshers event you`ll ever see is happening at our local dropzone. This weekend event involves skydiving clubs from all over the country....party, party, party! Our minibus will be leaving early on the Saturday morning. Post on forum to secure a place or contact Eamonn, more info to follow!

Information meeting - 2007-10-19

On Friday at 6.30 Instructors form our local dropzone will be giving a short presentation on skydiving in general and training methods. This is your chance to learn the truth and ask as many questions as you like! The meeting will be held in Langwith, room 002, we will be putting signs up and posting people to help locate the room, also porters will be able to direct you! Afterwards the club will meet for drinks in a college bar, all welcome:)

Freshers 2007 - 2007-10-01

Here comes another year..... YUSPC is gearing up for freshers week, welcoming in a new committee. Arrangements are been made for the AU mart (13th October)and the introductory meeting has been confirmed for the 19th of October. This term is packed with socials and events including the famous halloween party, more information is to follow and can be found in the events section.

A Licence's Galore! - 2007-04-07

After the massive success of Spain, BIG congratulations go to Eamonn, Wiggy, Mike and Roy for getting their A-Licence's! Last time I saw him Eamonn was enjoying his newly Qualified Skydiver Status (QSS!) doing two and three ways in Spain, and I'm sure Mike, Wiggy and Roy did the same after I left! Huge Congratulations Guys!! Lets get jumping!

BCPA Valentines Meet - 2007-02-21

On the 24th/25th of February, the 2nd BCPA meet of the year will commence at Hibaldstow. The theme for fancy dress is good vs evil, and the usual 3-way and student accuracy competitions will be running, as well as the unorthodox tracking competition for Cat 8's and perhaps experienced jumpers too. Hope to see lots of you there.

Hib open for Jumping! - 2007-01-05

Hib will re-open after its Christmas break on the 13th January (sat week 2). If you're going to go make sure you take your docs and your thermals...it might be a wee bit chilly! (Especially from 15,000, Eamonn!)

Introductory Meeting -Weds Week 2 - 2006-08-09

We have H, chief instructor from Target Skysports coming to join us on Wednesday evening of Week 2, the 18th of October, to give an expert talk on skydiving, answer all your questions and show you how amazingly exhilarating this sport is! Starts at 7.30pm, in Lanwith 006, see you there!
